The real story...
     Joanne fell victim to an SAE Fraternity fundraiser to help support the Special Olympics. In conjunction with the U of M P.D., students/staff/faculty/anyone was arrested by Minneapolis Police Officers and taken in cuffs to Northrop Mall where they were sentenced to raise a certain amount of money for the Special Olympics ($50 in Joanne's case), and they were also given a cell phone and phone book with which to do this. Once they repaid their debt to society they were provided free pizza/popcorn/beverages and a cool tshirt! The event raises around $20,000 each year.
